Curious kids have more fun. And Go Explore from CBeebies is the perfect entertainment for inquisitive little ones.
It’s a madcap collection of games designed to teach kids about a variety of topics – from the habitats of animals to types of garden vegetables and the importance of maintaining a healthy diet.
The game centres around a colourful cartoon map, pinpointing different fantastical locations to be explored. HQ is ‘the clubhouse’, a treehouse inhabited by a community of personable bees, where kids can track the stickers they’ve earned completing various games.
There are three main ways to play. You can help friendly dog Duggee to plan his party, explore the habitats of the world with the dynamic Go Jetters and take charge of the Furchester Hotel, essentially a fluffy Fawlty Towers which stars the cast of Sesame Street.
The games are simple but fun: whether it’s helping a waiter to deliver room service by swiping and dodging items left out in the hall by negligent guests, or matching the correct shapes of balloons that Duggee wants at his party.
The more you explore the map, the more of the Go Explore world you discover. There are special locations, like the ‘secret treehouse’ (populated with elite bees!).
And you move through this world to the soothing tones of your own narrator, who’ll explain every stage of what’s going on. Fun, educational and inspiring: three for the price of one.
