A wonderful app for making children’s bedtimes easier, Moshi: Sleep and Mindfulness is full of mesmerising stories told by people with calming voices against suitably soothing background music.
The app solves a very common dilemma: how do you use bedtime apps when you don’t really want your child to interact with anything too energetic just before they go to sleep? Moshi manages this by focusing on the audio.
On-screen visuals are beautiful and slow-moving, simple and calming: there’s nothing here that’s going to make your child want to jump around instead of settling down.
If you dread having to read the same story for the millionth time then you’ll appreciate the large library on offer: there are 40 stories and 90 other pieces of bedtime content, such as soothing sounds and even little meditations.
The stories are a decent length, too: expect 15 to 20 minutes from each, so there’s a very good chance you’ll be hearing little snores long before the tale finishes.
You can even challenge yourself with Moshi’s Tick-Tock Ten Minute Bedtime, a new meditation feature designed to help parents get their children to sleep in 10 minutes.
Moshi is a great way to let your kids relax, helping them to feel lovely and snuggly and get them off to sleep. And it works pretty well on grown-ups, too.
