PlayKids Stories turns your phone into a children’s library – one full of bright colours, quirky characters and accessible storylines.
You’ll find classic nursery rhymes, Disney stories, adventure and educational tales, which your child can read in the way they want. That could be by listening to the narration, reading at their own pace or playing with the interactive storyboards.
The app is pitched at children aged 8 and, above all, is designed to nurture a love of reading. Stories are given an age band, and each is filtered by theme – to make it easy to pick the right one. So, whether your child wants to learn their numbers, read a book that rhymes or enjoy stories with bold female leads (from a section entitled Girl Power!) they can do that from an easily navigable menu that collates stories into neat collections.
The different modes of reading mean the app is accessible to smaller children and you can set up different profiles for each of your kids, giving each one a cute avatar to help them recognise their own reading list.
PlayKids Stories also has videobooks and animated shorts called sketches – it’s a never-ending world of stories.
