You like doughnuts (who doesn't?). You like dogs. So, Donut Dog, a productivity app that combines dogs and doughnuts, has got to be a winner.
The idea is simple. You have a thesis to write, a project to complete, expenses to file, but you've also got a twitch that involves checking Instagram every 45 minutes. And once you start scrolling...
What you need is a doggy friend called Focus. He's a hungry canine and his favourite food is doughnuts. Set the timer on Donut Dog and the longer you stay in the app – and don't use your phone to do anything else – the more doughnuts you will make.
You can either just start the stopwatch, or challenge yourself by setting a preset time for which you wish to work. Stop the timer too early and Focus throws some disappointed sentiments at you, to make you feel properly ashamed of your lack of concentration.
Clock up as much productive time as possible and track several-day long streaks of concentration to unlock new doughnut designs and earn bonus treats.
This is not easy. You only get one doughnut per hour, so you really have to work at this if you want any chance of fattening up Focus. Good luck.
