Turn Undead 2: Monster Hunter

Turn Based Monster Slaying

View

With its spooky dungeons, creepy monsters and blood-curdling challenge, Turn Undead 2 is a game guaranteed to send shivers down your spine.

It’s a puzzle platformer where each move you make counts as a turn. This doesn’t mean you have to wait for anyone else to make a move – it just means that your enemies will only move when you do.

So while in some senses Turn Undead is structured like any other puzzle platformer, you’ll find you might need to move slower and apply some strategy to win. Especially if your next step will allow your enemy to walk right into you before you can fire your stake gun. Even once fired, your stakes will hang in the air and only move when you do.

Take out the vampires with a nifty stake gun.

Enemies come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, from vampires to flying hags to re-animated skeletons, each of them presenting their own challenge in every level.

Of course, you’re not only contending with undead monsters, each level is a puzzle in itself and there are environmental dangers to avoid. Puzzles revolve around using everything in your environment (yes, even your enemies) to get from one side of the level to the other without dying.

Controls are based largely around swiping. A short swipe left right or up will move your monster hunter in that direction while a tap will fire your weapon. It’s really intuitive, meaning you can put all your focus on learning how to manipulate the game's mechanics to your advantage.

Turn Undead 2 has staked its claim as one of the most innovative platformers out there.
