Everyone knows there’s nothing more important than a good night’s sleep. But while we’re constantly being told we don’t get enough of it, it can be hard to know how exactly to remedy the problem.
Fortunately, Sleep++ is the stuff of sweet dreams. The app works with your Apple Watch, using its sensors to track your Zzzs. This in turn generates an at-a-glance report on your deep sleep, REM cycles and those confused, restless hours spent lying awake in the middle of the night.
The data is expressed clearly, presenting information in percentages, and letting you know which hours of the night you got your “best” sleep.
Knowledge is power – the more you know about your sleep patterns, the better you can modify your behaviour in order to try and improve your rest, by taking measures like cutting out alcohol before bed, or reducing screen time in the evenings. Over time, you can assess whether your lifestyle tweaks are making a difference to the quality of your rest. It’s also a sleep coach. Set a bedtime reminder in order to get you into a good routine: just enter the number of hours of sleep you need, and the app will calculate backwards and prod you into bed in good time.
