Hello! Videos are only ever stored in the app on the device that you created them in, unless you backed them up.
If you backed up your videos, did you use one of these options?
1. With devices that have iOS 8 or newer, you will be able to back your videos up to the iCloud. To do that, on the main screen of Video Star, move the video to the center of the screen, and tap on the cloud button on the template. Tap Send to Other Apps, tap Send to Files, then choose what cloud service to save them to. To restore, just open the Files app, find the project and tap the share button, then send it to Video Star.
2. Back up the project folders to iTunes: this transfers all the clips and scenes to the computer, one folder per project. If you restore them to the iPad later, they stay editable: http://videostarapp.com/backups or http://videostarapp.com/computerbackup
3. Export to camera roll, and transfer. If the project is done and you won't be changing it, you can go to the main screen, tap Send and then "Send to Camera Roll." Connect to the computer w/ USB, and use Image Capture or iPhoto (Mac), or the Scanning and Camera Wizard (Windows) to transfer the Quicktime movie file from iPad to computer. (On Windows, you may have to install iTunes or Quicktime for WIndows to watch the movie. Both are free from apple.com)

Hi! We'd love for it all to be free, but we've got to have some things paid so that the developers can keep supporting and adding new content to the app. We've got lots of free effects though :) If you tap on the gear icon on the bottom left side of the main screen, tap on the ‘Release Notes’ and you can see all the free and paid effects we’ve released with each update!

You can do transitions, text, simple overlays and pfp's, masking, various coloring effects, there are a couple free blur effects for smoother transitions, key framing, custom graphs, QR codes presets for free effects.
