Persevering by faith

Our desire is to anchor people’s hope in Jesus so that their faith in Him will bring healing and restoration. We want to encourage and equip others about God’s trustworthiness and faithfulness, no matter how difficult the circumstances through the variety of free resources we produce and distribute. As a faith-based ministry, we are called and commanded to reach out to those who suffer; as a community of faith, we are instructed to bear one another’s burdens. Because God values hurting people, we must value them also.

Scripture is clear that we will all go through some sort of hardship or suffering during the course of our lives, (Hebrews 12:7-11, 1 Peter 4:12). All of our resources are designed to encourage a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to help strengthen faith in His promises, and to proclaim that God is sovereign and can be trusted, even in the broken places of life.

Founders, Chuck and Sharon Betters’ world was turned upside down when they received the dreaded phone call that their 16 year old son, Mark, and his friend Kelly were killed in a tragic car accident. They didn’t know if their hearts would keep beating, but God held them tightly in His grip. Often their encouragement came from others who were willing to help by stepping into the darkness and reminding them that God is sovereign and you can trust Him. That was the beginning of offering help and hope through MARKINC, an acronym for “Making Abundant Riches Known In the Name of Christ” in honor of their son. The desire of this non-profit is to come alongside others who are hurting just as people further down the road in their grief journey had done for them. While the roots of this ministry were started in a painful, broken place, there has been tremendous beauty that has resulted in the help and hope that has been shared with millions of people around the world.

Help and Hope produces resources that teach about the sovereignty, trustworthiness, and faithfulness of God through the sharing of redemptive stories, videos, counseling, books, articles, and more.

Biblical counseling services are available through Anchored Hope Biblical Counseling. This online platform provides highly trained, professional counselors who are available to offer help, hope and healing in the comfort of your own home. This convenient and confidential platform allows you to seek practical help to better understand His promises and anchor your hope in Jesus no matter what circumstances you may be facing.

Ask Dr. Betters is a topical video series where Dr. Chuck F. Betters answers tough questions on suffering and the sovereignty of God. Each answer will reinforce that God is good and worthy of our trust even when life is difficult and when we struggle to understand Him.

The Help and Hope audio stories are real-life testimonies of people who have walked through these experiences and have found their strength in Christ. They address life's darkest circumstances that are often difficult to discuss, yet need to be faced as we help one another walk by faith.

Daily Treasure is a 365-day devotional written by Sharon Betters and the occasional guest author. Every entry in this 365 devotional embraces the power of God’s Word to encourage, equip and energize the reader to walk by faith in the pathway God has marked out for them, no matter how difficult. Each devotional includes a treasure from God’s Word, life-giving applications, guided prayers, and a challenge to reflect God’s love in a way that helps turn hearts toward Jesus.

Our vision is to offer true and lasting hope by sharing the Gospel to all who come for Help and Hope!
