What’s New

Version 1.14.15

This update to Apollo brings the ability to save posts and comments to specific categories (so you can sort by your “tech”, “animals”, or "interior design", for instance, and even create completely custom categories) that are cloud-synced across your devices! There's also incredibly gorgeous new icons, and a bunch of new Pixel Pals (parrot, panda, platypus, and a tiger!) so you can have even more cute options for friends while you scroll, as well as some handy bug fixes (like around trending subreddits) and tweaks to make everything even nicer and smoother.

Editors’ Notes

Apollo for Reddit is an excellent alternative to the official app, with stacks of useful features and tons of settings you can tweak for an even more personalized Reddit experience. Apollo has clearly been designed by someone who spends a lot of time on Reddit, because the app is full of things that’ll delight power users.

Teotsan ,

Excellent on all levels.

Apollo made my Mobile Reddit experience so smooth that I never went back to desktop. There are some minor bugs every now and then but they are always getting fixed. So yes 5 stars for the effort of a single guy who made our mobile Reddit experience so amazing.

Fabbyyy0 ,

Hardcore greedy developer, but overall good

I am really disappointed.

Really like the app. Everything works fine.

But I can not believe that notifications are behind a paywall/monthly subscription.
It's not even like 4-5 dollars for ever. The developer is literally asking 30+ dollars for lifetime notifications. This is unbelievably expensive and greedy.
The excuse of "covering server costs" leaves me speechless.
I haven't found a single other app,in the app store that requires money for notifications.

Considering that Apollo is already a huge app with thousands if not millions of users and thousands of people already having paid the 3 dollar fee for the pro version I just cannot fathom how the developer gets away with asking money for notifications.
