Description
Access and organise your files no matter where they’re located — on your device, in the cloud, on an external drive or file server— with Files. The Recents view displays the files you’ve been working on lately in high-resolution thumbnails. Use the powerful Browse view to navigate folders, organise your files with tags, move files between folders and search. Files also makes it easy to access iCloud Drive and third-party cloud storage services such as Dropbox, Box and OneDrive.
Features
• Press the Files icon in the Dock or Home screen to quickly open a file from anywhere
• Connect an external drive or SD card to your device to access the files
• Connect to a file server at work or a home PC using SMB from Files.
• Use tags to organise files stored with different cloud providers and across different apps.
• Pin your favourite folders in Browse view for quick access to the ones you use most.
• Give people access to any file stored in iCloud Drive by sharing a link from the Files app.

Frequently Freezing on iPad
The files app really needs some attention and updating in terms of liability. The app freezes frequently and even after restarting the iPad the app still remains frozen some times.
It is a same because otherwise the app is really useful for office work and file handling.
Apple file manager force me to leave Apple eco system
This by far the worst file management experience in my whole life. Transfer files to google drive or one drive no progress bar even for iCloud you need to check each folder and file upload progress. No full access to apps folders if I want to use app like VLC to watch video I need to transfer file from my iPad storage folder to VLC app folder so to keep my files organized and in the same time run them with app of choice I need to have duplicate of the same file even with 1 TB IPad Pro I have this is outrageous….. this is not file manager the right app name is storage waste or better nightmare organizer.
Bookmarks
Since I’m using it a lot for school ,like make people do, and I have my books saved here I would like to have bookmarks so that, when I come back to read I won’t loose my page.
