PADPILOT GAS TURBINES (TEACHING CORE)
Padpilot Gas Turbines is the first of the Padpilot NextGen teaching and learning systems based on highly detailed, manipulatable 3D models. This second release adds additional model detail, additional functions and the whizz wheel navigation system. Teaching Cores are designed to be used by instructors in the classroom as an instructional visual aid.
WHO IS THIS APP FOR
This App is great for any instructor tasked with explaining and illustrating the design and construction of modern gas turbine aero engines. The model is based on the Trent 1000.
A complementary Gas Turbines Learning Core is available for students. This will allow them to self-study the same topic area.
WHAT DOES IT DO
Padpilot Gas Turbines (Teaching Core) allows you to display in class (with suitable wired or wifi connections) a realistic, highly detailed 3D model of the Trent 1000. Double-tapping on various components hides them, allowing you to explore deep into the engine.
Alternatively the simple menu bar at the top of the screen lets you quickly strip the engine down to its core components, or revert to the fully built state.
The model is free to rotate around all axes to show the engine and its components from any angle.
