Guess the Code Free is the best codebreaker game for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Your iPhone chooses a sequence of colors and you must try to guess the sequence within a specific number of guesses.

Guess the Code Free includes a host of exciting features, including:

* Great graphics and exciting sound effects
* Configurable difficulty levels
* "Use Letters" mode for colorblind players
* Automatic save when you exit the app or receive a phone call

Please Note: The result pegs do not correspond directly to the guess pegs. The result pegs tell you the number of guess pegs that are in the right position or are the right color, but not which ones. The code does not change over the course of the game and it is definitely possible to figure out the code in the number of guesses allotted.

Spent hours with it training my brain

Mediocre

The interface is old school. There is no drag and drop, you cannot swap coloured pegs on one line etc. Makes it slow to enter the colours each time. No iphone 5 compatibility - they could easily add two more rows in the iphone 5 screen giving a better overview of the progress to the player.
On the positive side: it's free (the add supported version), it has a hard level (5 places, and thankfully it doesn't connect to the annoying Game Centre !
If they improved the interface I d happily buy an add-free version. As it is, I play it occasionally while looking for something else.
