Powerful set of tools !
On your way to become an amateur photographer or a well established professional either way the best camera is the camera you have always available and what better can you ask than an app that gives you “RAW” power and and is working to make you a better photographer... this app replaced my default camera app for everyday use or for extensive macro or portrait photos way to go to the developing team keep the updates coming !
Nice app for manual photography but very sluggish even on newer devices
You can change all sorts of settings while shooting which makes the app very good for manual photography. But there is some lag here and there (e.g. when previewing photos I took) and my iPhone gets hot and consumes noticeably more battery while using the app (iPhone X). This is a known issue for the app for at least 3 years since I first noticed it on my iPhone 6S Plus with iOS 9 at the time. It is very disappointing that the app developers can not optimize it to run fast and fluidly on new phones. iPhone X and A11 should be more than enough for apps like this to run without any lag and this hasn’t been the case. The app is (and always has been) slow to launch, to change between modes, to preview photos that you have taken and to edit photos. Otherwise the app is very nice but I almost never use it due to the lag and heating and battery issues... The recent update that promised performance improvements did next to nothing to help too.
App review and support response
Had problem saving 4K Max video and support immediately responded and explained the way to do it , otherwise a really great app , especially the 4K max mode for low light night videos is a really huge improvement over the iOS app , congratulations !
