Redecor - Home Design Game 17+

I love the game from day one, but lately I have noticed that when I gain levels I continuously win the challenges less and less times. I am starting to think that it is working in a way that makes you invest money in order to continue playing. Especially when it comes to particular challenges I just don’t understand how the algorithm works. Every time the xp points are different even if I have the same stars, and the money keep changing as well.

Hi! Thank you for your valuable feedback; we appreciate it a lot! Our ratings are based only on other players’ votes and after their results are in, the Final Design value is calculated. The Final Design value is calculated from the rating bonus from other players (=voting), and the value of your Design (=Cash and Gold used in the room). When the challenge results are in, you will get the same amount of XP (experience points) as your Final Design Value. This final design value only affects the final ranking if two players obtain the same amount of votes/stars from the fellow players. It's currently on our list to improve a feature that encourages players to follow the given brief. It's a bit tricky to implement as the beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and if the brief is to create a "stylish & eclectic room," it's not so straight-forward to do technically, but we're working on it. :) If you have any questions or face any technical problems, our support staff is always happy to help you! When you start playing, your initial designs always come 1st place. Checked it with family members and friends, everyone's first bathroom design came in 1st. That only proves that the voting process is rigged. But after a few satisfactory wins (even with rookie inferior designs) everything changes. No matter how good your designs are, you end up 4th place and below so you don't get game currency which you have to buy with real money. Even if you don't care about winning and just wish to decorate rooms, the game is still disappointing as it slowly consumes your money, and by the end you don't have a way of playing again, unless you buy game money with real life money. That would be acceptable if stated clearly. I would keep playing and pay money each month just for the fun of it, but all fun is out when you realise that the game is set up in such a way that forces you to pay.

My app just updated and I hate how little space we have now to see materials when choosing. I used to be able to see 3 rows of materials in each scroll, but now it’s down to 2. And the preview of the rooms when you check your ranking while the challenge is still in voting, is not even showing the whole rooms. There’s a good amount of the bottom hidden. I guess you should have checked your app redesign for all mobile screen resolutions… (I’m on iPhone SE (2016)). As a general comment and possibly a suggestion for future updates, maybe you should reconsider the prizes for getting 2nd place with a perfect 5. I even had 5th place with a perfect 5, imagine my disappointment when I was rewarded with nothing… Other than that, I love the game.
