Adequate

There are some really useful things there. Channels and grouping, file sharing, screen sharing with drawing, tons of external apps like Outlook, an API to send automatic messages and forwarding mails into channels.
Most are working adequately but there are some odd issues here and there. Screen sharing and drawing is not working as expected. Sending messages with the API, word wraps the messages at 60 or 80 characters for some reason. Going offline and reconnecting is giving the app an existential crisis and to resolve it I have to restart it.

Lack of support on old OS versions

I had no complaints about the app since it is the main communication point for the company I work for. All that until this month (March 2024). Then, the Slack company decided to block users like me who still work on old OS versions (older than 11) by forcing them to update their software. See, I have an iMac 2013 - old, yes, but that still runs Figma, Adobe Suite, and other heavy programs, effortlessly! And I know it's not only me. But I genuinely wonder, for the company, how come they make such a business decision, not embrace sustainability in their business and restrict working with old but workable hardware by forcing upgrades? This is a very, very bad user experience, you guys. And it's sad, seeing that from a company who started with users at the center...

1.26 GB of RAM?!?!?!

How can this be like this?
1.26 GB RAM is insane for a "messaging" application.

Yes, it's a lot more, I know and I love it, but still... this is too much guys...
