You’ll need nerves of steel to ride your way through Gravity Rider Zero’s dangerous obstacle courses. Or will you? Keep calm and master its intuitive, nuanced controls and you’ll be pulling off daredevil leaps and heart-stopping somersaults in no time.
Your main goal is simply to stay on your motorcycle and reach the finish line. Easier said than done on these space-age circuits and their many hazards, ranging from vertiginous ramps to whirling loops and deadly spikes.
Yet all you need to conquer them are four on-screen buttons: you can accelerate and reverse, while leaning forward and back to keep your bike balanced.
The dynamic camera shows off the stellar tracks in all their three-dimensional glory. It’s a truly beautiful ride – even if admiring the scenery is likely to end in disaster. The tracks, meanwhile, get more and more elaborate, while throwing in the odd surprise: you’ll ride through gravity wells and drop through portals, yet it’ll be something as simple as a common or garden rock that trips you up.
