Descripción

Welcome to our second annual West Coast Pediatric Palliative Care Virtual Summit – Part 1, Reframing Hope. As leaders in the forefront of the pediatric palliative care movement, George Mark Children’s House is excited to host this yearly event.

"Hope is the feeling that one looks forward to, and plans for what will happen. To frame is to lay the groundwork for the way something is put together: including one's family. This Summit will address both the impact and the way forward when families have to adjust their hopes and aspirations to a very different reality."

The Summit is targeted for a multidisciplinary audience to highlight skills specific for providers who are interested in learning more about pediatric palliative care practice, techniques and teamwork.

Last year’s sold-out West Coast Summit was evaluated by Stanford University as one of the highest-rated and best-attended conferences in 2019. We anticipate that the 2021 Summit(s) – Part 1 and Part 2 will exceed the expectations of all participants who have been looking forward to this annual event devoted exclusively to pediatric palliative care.

We have opted to do an abbreviated, live virtual program on February 2, 2021. This event will be live and each session will be recorded and available at a later date.

We are still planning to have a full, two-day, in-person meeting on November 8-9, 2021. So, mark your calendars for November 2021 for The Summit – Part 2.

Thank you all for being flexible during these uncertain times.
