Descripción

The KUJATAA World Heritage site app allows users to access historical, cultural and scientific information, photos and maps for better understanding about Greenland's newest UNESCO world heritage site. This digital resource, available for iPhone and iPad, will provide detailed information about the key elements of the five component areas of KUJATAA, as well as basic information about agriculture in South Greenland. The result is a small library of information you can use while moving around in the heritage area. In partnership with the World Ocean Observatory, Visual Solutions Lab, Kujataa World Heritage and the Greenland National Museum and Archives, this smart phone app allows for the interpretation of the astonishing historical landscape and artifacts located in Kujataa--a stunning, extraordinary landscape that is perfectly preserved as a ruin that imbues spirituality and a reverence for Nature. These are remote places, accessible only by boat with no cell or wireless service, and places where expensive signage does not endure in the harsh weather conditions. The Kujataa app will help to transcend these limitations and will provide visitors to the ruins with specific information in English, Greenlandic, and Danish.
