Stickers 101

Make texting fun with stickers.

Dancing avocados. Laser-eyed cats. Awkwardly animated bananas. There are a lot of stickers out there, and they bring a distinctly creative flair to your iMessage threads.

Here’s how to use them masterfully, in three easy steps:

1. Discover

The best way to find new sticker packs is to browse the iMessage store. To do so, start a new message and tap the App Store icon that appears to the left of the text field. Then tap Visit Store to start your search.

2. Select

Once you’ve downloaded a few packs, it’s time to send them to your friends and family. Just tap the App Store icon again, then select one of the sticker packs that appear at the bottom of the screen. (You might have to swipe right to view them all.)

There’s a sticker for every situation.

3. Send

After choosing a sticker, you can either send it as a stand-alone message or even make it appear over a message that’s already in your chat thread. Just drag the sticker on top of a message, whether yours or someone else’s. The sticker will be sent once you lift your finger from the screen.
