With Kelpie’s guidance, kids get a jump start on math practice for the Common Core and all individual state standards: Reading and Writing Numbers, Counting, Place Value, Comparing, Strategies for Addition, Strategies for Subtraction, Patterns and Sorting, Relating Addition and Subtraction, Using Place Value to Add and Subtract, Working with Equations, Addition and Subtraction Word Problems, and Adding Multiple Addends.
Throughout the entire experience, kids develop cognitive skills as they solve problems in the story. By using Wowzers’ wide variety of virtual manipulatives, kids also get a head start on preparing for “next generation” assessments. The Wowzers app is more than just a diverse set of math exercises; it’s a tool to get kids excited about learning.
