It’s a beautiful game with lovely visuals and sounds, however the mechanics of playing it on mobile are so painful at times it feels unplayable. Simple things like the fact that items are stored in a bar at the top of the screen that you have to drag down, always triggers the phone to pull down the screensaver menu and exit the app. The taps sometimes have to be so well placed within the game that you don’t realise you have the right solution because the input is not being accepted. Some of the solutions are also ridiculously obscure with no hints relying on tedious trial and error. Every level virtually guarantees you open the hint book to prevent yourself wasting hours in frustration. Overall nice idea but badly executed. Only play if you have a lot of patience.

This is a GREAT game, not only beautiful but smart too. It reminds me of other classic exploratory adventure games like Kings Quest in the way it makes you think, it's clever but fun. There is definitely no better game for the iPad and in fact maybe be one of the best games out there, the iPad simply enhances the playing experience through it's great interactive-ness that you wouldn't get on any other platform (which is what it should be about.) Once you start playing the game you will soon agree seeing how well designed and executed the game is. Worth every dollar. The only problem is once you finished you'll be left with a hunger for more- hurry up Amanita release a sequel!!!!
