Thanks a lot to the development team, the new version has resolved the video player issue, it doesn’t require to lock and the control bars will now dismiss automatically.

Re. battery, in fact I’m using iOS 11.4.1 already. However the new v2.5.2 seems doing fine so far (at least I’m not feeling unusual heat from my phone), so maybe it’s ok for now.

The App is good and pretty easy to use. However, I got some issues on v2.5.1:
1) the new video player is not user friendly as previous version, in landscape view, I must use Lock button in order to get rid of the top and bottom control bars, which are covering quite a large portion of the iPhone 8 screen, esp. not good as I need to read the subtitle
2) besides, when the player is “locked”, I can’t do any control like fast forward, backward or pause, it causes inconvenience when I watch videos in transit as I’ll need to pause the video when getting off the transportations
3) the battery seems drain much quicker than previous version, it takes around 10% of my iPhone 8 battery before while now it takes more than 30% of that for a similar video play time

Hope these can be improved or fixed in the next version

Thank you for a detailed review! Lets go through it:
1. Visible controls is a bug from our side and we are working to fix so it will be working fine in the next release 2. Once controls bug is sort out it wont over take entire screen and you will not have to lock player if necessary. 3. Battery drain is a well known 11.4 iOS issue, hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Using this app for years.
In older version was able to download videos in the background when you are on another application but recently it does not support anymore. Please help to fix.

No way to know whether a webpage has been bookmarked or not when viewing a webpage. So sometimes when you take a look at the bookmark list you’ll see two or three bookmarks of the same webpage. Why can’t there be a star at the address bar to let users know that the page has been bookmarked (like what chrome or Firefox does)
Response to the developer’s reply: Of course I know that the bookmarks are saved in the list of Bookmark section! I’m not stupid! The problem is: when you are viewing an interesting webpage, there is no way to know whether you have saved it before or not, unless you open the bookmark section to check it. See what Google Chrome does to this problem: they have a star at the right side of the address bar, blank or highlighted, to let you know that you have or have not saved the page in the bookmark. This is much more convenient.
