Beatstar changed my life.

One year ago, I had essentially given up on finding the titles of the songs I heard from my childhood for a long time, never to hear their glorious notes again

But after seeing all the ads about Beatstar on Instagram, I decided to give this game a shot.

Not only did I love the game, but the songs I heard that I never found the titles to or had forgotten about to the point where I didn’t recognize them at first, slowly came back to me. I instantly remembered every song I listened to for each song I unlocked in the game. King by Years & Years, Departures by Globe, All the Small Things by Blink-182, Levels by Avicii… I could not believe it. I had finally found my childhood music again.

Now, more than half a year of playing this game later, I have learned new bands and songs and am introducing them to all my friends. And I am the reason that my school knows about The Business now.

Space Ape, thank you for bringing back my love for music. Sincerely, a grateful player.

A good game that has great potential

This is a very awesome music game. The music collection is rich. The artwork is very impressive. Playing the game excites me. But I’m very disappointed for two reasons (mainly the first):

1. You are not allowed to play if the three case slots are full and unlocking cases take almost forever. I don’t mind paying some money to support good games. But this mechanism certainly makes me feel that I’m “forced” (or manipulated) to keep pouring a huge amount of money in it. I believe the song collection system and the in-game currency are already a reasonable earning mechanism. I wouldn’t pay for anything in the game unless they retract this limitation.

2. This is relatively minor. The game basically stops when you simply miss one tap. Difficulty is good as games should be challenging. But this also leads to frustration to players.

Switch to 1 star

Can you screen your ad, some can’t cross out even after 60 seconds. Restart and that ad come again. Sorry for you developers.
