Very good and interactive

It gives me a platform to learn foreign languages and it is good that we can hear as many times as we want before moving on. Quizzes with interactive styles like spelling and speaking tests do help us bush up the vocabularies that we have just learned. Stepwise approach allows us to follow the learning plan effectively. I think the best part of this app is that it can link us to the overseas native speakers, letting us make friends with each other and help with each other’s pronunciation or gramma specifically:)

I hope the app can be further improved and modified in two areas. First, more basic knowledge of languages like the alphabets can be introduced to beginners. As a beginner of German, I actually found it hard to follow in lesson 2 when it taught me how to say some simple conservations, like ‘How old are you’, as I don’t have a German foundation. Second, it is hoped that even more languages can be learnt from your app, like Cantonese.

In general, this app is really fascinating and user-friendly for language lovers. I believe that this app will be of great success by following my above suggestions:)

Great way to brush up or review

I learnt Spanish at uni but haven’t used since and most of vocabularies. It’s a great way to review the lost words/phrases. I’ve been brushing up my French and Italian on busuu too! I guess this app is more useful for the people who have some knowledge of the language they’re trying to learn on. I tried Russian but I’ve never learnt so I gave up. I use another free app to learn the basics and how to read first before starting to learn on busuu again.
Wish there were more selections of languages such as Indonesian, Tagalog, Cantonese and more advanced courses above B2 like C1-2 levels for currently serviced languages as finishing all the courses seem quite easy for the people who have already learnt the language in the past.

Suggestions

I have used Busuu for a year and basically I found the experience very rewarding. I have a few suggestions on the app functions which may probably help users to better keep track on their study. First, the day learnt may change to a calendar-like layout to record the days of study, like a habit tracker. Second, adding a monthly review / quiz / rewind to let users to keep track their learning ( e.g grammar, vocabulary ). Hope these two functions may take into consideration!
