Please note that this app does not replace clinical judgement. I can not take responsibility for the outcomes of the use of this app. There is no single standard formula for the calculation of BSA or cardiac output. Many authors recommend reducing peak oxygen consumption to 110mL O2/min for patients over the age of 75. This app uses the standard 125mL O2/min for all patients.

Formulas:
BSA is calculated as square root (heigh*weight)/36
Fick calculated as 125xBSA/ ((SAO2-SVO2) * hgb * 13.4.
