Carousell: Snap-Sell, Chat-Buy 4+

This app still needs more management and seller protection.

This app has more and more bad attitude users. I met two buyers who made the offer then disappeared. Not even receiving any replies from them even I messaged them almost everyday since they made the offer. I made comments but surely be hidden as the buyer didn’t give comments to me. How ridiculous. I started to wonder the comments of the buyers are fake. I reported to Carousell and they replied to me saying there’s nothing they can do.
I don’t see changing the logo/ interface would make my usage any better when they actually don’t listen to existing users and protect users. What I need is a better management, not a more colorful app.
Sadly, this is a relatively more popular app for selling things away and could reach to a bigger population. I have no other choice. But this doesn’t mean Carousell should ignore our feedbacks. They should make this platform more safe and protect the seller. I have been sending complaints about bad attitude buyers but Carousell is not taking this serious. They just simply reply me saying sorry but there’s nothing they could do. Very irresponsible. They could show the comments of the seller so others could see, hiding it because the buyer didn’t comment back is definitely not helpful and reasonable.

No response from Customer Service

The feedback system is good but there should be CS monitoring! How could we tolerate any unreasonable accuse? I m NOT complaining Carousell didn’t bring me good sellers. I am complaining the customer service this useless. Compare to Other auction app before, they have hotlines, email reply. But Carousell, I’ve sent an email for 5 days and follow up email for each day, still no response! I don’t think Carousell is a free app so I have to bear this risk.

The seller accepted my offer. However, he/she refused to sell the product to me because his/her wife want the item again! That was too irresponsible! I just left a comment with neutral rating to express my bad experience. The seller left a negative comment to me and a word “ridiculous”. How rude! I don’t understand why I deserve this even I did nothing wrong. I reported to carousell but still no response after 4 days! Carousell is a good platform but the CS is bad!

Bad experience due to some horrible buyers

The app is a great concept, but the many bad buyers out there, wasting time and abusing this app, have made for some very bad experience. There are those with the intent of just wasting your time, asking hundreds of questions and even down to arranging a time and location but in fact, they just want to knock down your price, these people are just plain annoying and wasting a lot of time. They use this tactic by having a group of their friends to bombard the seller, hoping to eventually get the price lowered. This is just poor form. And all this is after having made an offer and the offer was accepted. The customer service of Carousell is useless and blind, can’t do anything about it. So in the end, you are on your own. Your best tactic is just block these bunch of buyers or just ignore their messages because you can pretty much see who they are so you whether they are genuine buyers. I have decided not to trade with this bunch of annoying people and if no deal happens, that is fine. I will just donate it to some real needy people instead and stop using this app altogether, as this app is no longer fun.
