Dime-In is an upfront group payments service for people who regularly organize outings with their friends.

Like a mini-crowdfunding campaign - it has a funding goal, a deadline, but also a minimum headcount. Participants commit their credit or debit cards upfront, but only get charged if the event meets the minimum headcount - and the kicker is that the final price per person varies based on how many people ultimately attend.

Dime-In applies a mixture of peer pressure and automated reminders to get potential participants to either Dime-In or Decline. The transparency and shared risk that Dime-In provides helps make planned events take place and guarantees payment, removing the responsibility and stress from the event organizers and spreading it amongst the participants in a fair way.
