Just started using this app. Seems to do the job it is intended for, i.e., removing the log files (which can run into 000’s of MBs) and the trash files. Not a technie myself but presumably it is not too complicated to conjure up an app to perform those functions. But, hey, it still fares better than 2 other apps (which I also downloaded from App Store) which purport to fulfil the same function - one of those 2 apps even crashed before it gets its hand dirty (when it asks for access to the HD).

This is one of the best apps on the App Store, and I use it daily. Disk Diet is my space saver on my Mac. If there was an option, I would give a 10/10. Loads of thanks to the developers at Tunabelly Software.
