Building learning communities in schools requires leadership and demands time. The clinical observation process takes significant time to complete with integrity. From pre-observation conference to classroom observation, we recognize good instruction. It is our recommendations to the teacher however that allow us schools to grow as a team.

The time to write reports is daunting and many administrators find it challenging to offer timely feedback to teachers. Feedback given weeks after the observation seems less relevant and is unlikely to produce significant growth.
