This location-aware app takes a scholarly but light touch glimpse at a thousand years of our town's history through its buildings, characters and incidents. Discover some of those tales in the text, audio and images within this app.

Somewhere along the app's trails you will find the entrepreneur who opened the world's biggest department store, our town's first woman driver, the lady who was the last living eye witness to the day the soldiers came to shoot the striking miners and the man who had his portrait painted by Rembrandt. Ever wondered who was the first person to be buried in Featherstone cemetery, or in what year residents of this town first saw an aeroplane fly over their houses? It's all here and much more.
