Firewalla can help you to secure and manage your personal network, discover vulnerable IoT devices. Firewalla has the ability to discover devices that are open and can be infected (or already) by the Mirai virus.

Security Scanning

1. Inside scan, find all the devices that may be infected with Mirai virus or can be infected with it.
2. Outside scan, search for ports that are open from the Internet side.

This app will also control the Firewalla Box.

Best for home and SMB security

Firewalla is an excellent product to help secure your home or office with a professional grade hardware Firewall. Note that the app only works with an actual Firewalla hardware firewall.

Some of the great features:
- Protect your NAS from intruders by only allowing access to your network via VPN;
- Prevent your children from viewing inappropriate content online;
- Shield your network from Internet of Things (IoT) devices to avoid network hacking via IoT devices;
- Get insights into your network;
- Route all traffic over VPN.

Yes, I am using all these features, and Firewalla makes it as simple as can be, though sometimes a learning curve is to be expected.

The best by far

I’ve tested a lot of so called software firewall or hardware firewall, either they block nothing or everything.

Ok the other hand, firewalla is adaptive and ask whether you would like to block certain access.

Just want to create a safer environment for my family. Firewalla got it done.

Not everyone is a network admin nor can afford a few thousand dollar overkill equipement that they don’t know how to use.
