Way too many ads that get in the way of shopping

I’ve been buying products and groceries from hktvmall since before the pandemic. it’s not perfect but I enjoy and appreciate the service it provides. However, lately the app has become harder and harder to use due to all the lengthy ads that really get in the way of shopping. first there are pop up ads, then ads in search results that are irrelevant to my needs. Then came the videos. The last straw was when they forcefully set their landing page to the 30min delivery service ad that takes forever to load and leave. i used the app because it’s convenient, but now its interface has become so convoluted it’s simply a waste of my time. i understand the importance of ad revenue and shops wanting exposure there should be a limit to these things.

Too many updates

I have no problems with the app itself but hate how it has forced updates every week. Honestly I use the app maybe once a week or 2 weeks and every single time it asks me to update. Sometimes I don’t have WiFi and can’t use. Other Apps usually let u use old version for some time before forced update, or updates are less frequent. Sometimes it’s a lost sale if I don’t have WiFi at that time and can’t open the app.

Could be so much better

This app really could be incredible however they need to make a number of improvements. 1) The search function, product naming and classification need massive improvement there is such a lack of consistency and clarity regarding product naming and classification it’s almost like they don’t want you to spend money. 2) The majority of promotional information is in Chinese, only a very small percentage of promotional information is dual language.I don’t know why they want to alienate their non-Chinese speakers but they are doing it well. It’s almost like they don’t want you to spend money 3) HKTVMall plug themselves as a competitor to supermarkets however they need to increase delivery spots massively - waiting four days? Don’t think so. It’s almost like they don’t want you to spend money. 4) App has run super slowly lately despite iOS updates and decent wifi. HKTVMALL LET YOUR DEVELOPERS SPEND SOME CASH!
