The only podcast app for me

Overcast does many things well: smart silence, incremental speeding up of playback, smart resumption of playing audio, nitpicky details, a dark theme, waiting for wifi to download new episodes... I could go on listing all the many features that make Overcast a wonderful app to use, but one thing that makes Overcast important to me is the mission of its founder Marco Arment. My understanding of Arment is that he provides this wonderful app for free so that he can nurture a greater community of podcast listeners and creators. Overcast is partially responsible for me becoming as engaged with listening to podcasts and creating my own podcast as I am today.

Better than Apple Podcasts

Apple Podcasts has been a laggy POS and then when I upgraded to the newest iOS it stopped working. Absolute junk. Overcast to the rescue! This app runs smooth as butter and everything works well on this app even the ads which advertise other podcasts, I actually found some new good podcasts this way! Highly recommended

Fantastic application for listening to posdcasts

The playback options are excellent. Without this program, I wouldn’t have the time to listen to podcasts.

The increased audio playback speed is intelligently speed up with very little loss in quality.

If you listen to podcasts, you should try this program.
