DISCOVER FÖHR AND THE WEST COAST

Discover the works from the Museum Kunst der Westküste’s collection while you’re out and about. Make your way – virtually or on location with a bike – along our curated art routes across the island of Föhr and learn more about the works with the help of multimedia content. Corresponding new audio content is available for children and adults: in German, English and Danish.

The heart of the app is a map of the four west coast countries: Norway, Denmark, Germany and the Netherlands. Find out how to locate the motifs from individual works in the museum’s collection!

BECOME PERSONALLY ACTIVE

Whenever you’re near a place where an artwork was created, you can become personally active. How did the artists see this place as they painted or photographed it? What do you see there today? You can use a special feature to compare the artwork with your own picture as you are shooting it or later on.

YOUR MULTIMEDIA GUIDE IN THE MUSEUM

The app will also accompany you during your visit to the museum to offer important information and videos related to the current exhibitions. Would you like to learn more about a work you’ve discovered in the exhibition galleries? Click on the search icon in the app and enter the number of the exhibited object, which is to be found on the wall beneath the work.
