It’s simple

The interface is very good offering simple but limited functions. For more sophisticated operations, you still have to login the router interface.

The device manager is less attractive than the previous genie app but I like it listing presentation. One serious bug is the app never save/remember the types of devices connected. After you ‘save’ it and exit the screen, it returns to “unknown” type when you click on Device Manager” again.

This app fails to update my router

It seemed promising but this app just loops the update process of my R7000. After the reboot the app just tells me again that there is an update, which is the same as I previously ran.

This app fails to switch WiFi on/off.

The app is beautifully designed and simple to use which is nice. However as there is no WiFi on/off button on the r7800 itself, I thought we can disable 2.4G or 5G remotely on this app by iPhone/iPad.

Because the router is placed near our bedroom, we would like to disable the WiFi signal at bedtime for one of our family members who is suffered EHS symptoms.

So is it true that every time we want to switch on/off WiFi signals, we need to use a computer with LAN port wired to the router and login the control panel to do so?
