此流動應用程式的目的是配合在香港特別行政區（香港特區）推行的疫苗通行證安排，供相關處所負責人用作掃瞄及記錄由香港特區政府發出的2019冠狀病毒病疫苗接種紀錄及由醫生發出的醫學豁免接種證明書上二維碼的資料，及用作掃瞄電子檢測紀錄上的二維碼以核實其真確性。應用程式會使用手機或手提裝置的相機功能來掃瞄二維碼。
