Simple means reliable

Too often companies tend to want to do everything with their product. A car that can also fly and go under water type of reasoning.

Simplenote understands this, and set out to build the right thing:
- No multiple fonts and size means the user is not burdened with formatting issues when the key job is to make notes and organize thoughts.
- Sync history frees the user to make changes knowing one can go back to check if necessary.
- Tags and pins only means the user can categorize and prioritize, but not be burdened with organizing the organizer.

The cross-platform app works for me between PC, iPhone, iPad and Mac. Only on one occasion over 15 months have I had to reinstall the iOS/iPadOS versions due to crashing - just today.

I appreciate what the Simplenote team has done. Thank you.

Simple and nice, but please add the google acc log in back

I like using this app to synchronise my writings including poetry and all, and I liked how it’s direct and efficient to use. But since the iOS version took away the “sign in with Google account” feature, I’ve lost access to my previous notes because the direct sign-in didn’t require me to set a password, and now I can’t log in :( this is a simple matter that I can fix myself, granted, but I’d really prefer if you can add that back to the app version.

Best for Simple Text Notetaking

I’ve tried quite a few note-taking apps on Mac and iPad, and this is the best one that syncs between the two + has a quick and clean interface for the basic text note-taking. It won’t work if you need to use visuals or images, but for a few quick notes or just drafting a piece of writing, its great. Markdown formatting is also simple to use.
