Reliable

Happy to use as my preferred way to call international numbers for work and private. Use frequently to dial in to confirm calls, audio feeds on video conferencing and also having 1:1 with others. Works really well especially from in HK where POTS mobile voice quality of calls varies a lot depending on location.

FTR have been using Skype since about 2002, mostly for chat, short video calls, and as alternative to phone services. Overall happy.

Unable to move self-view window or to switch back to Skype call after voice call dialed-in

Generally a great communication app for video calls. However, after the recent update, the self-view window is moved to the bottom, making it very difficult to make eye contact with the person in the call while wanting to see yourself at the same time. I would be nice if the self-view window becomes movable. Another concern is I am unable to switch back to the Skype call if I got interrupted by a voice call dial-in. I am unable to unhold the Skype call and must cut off and redial. Would be great if you can have these issues fixed. Thanks.

“Content view” not working

Apparently Apple users are facing this problem, the content view function used to change by itself and working perfectly fine, but recently, it just turns into plain black screen. It sometimes resume functioning after a few re-entering of the app and switching from “grid view” to “content view” but for my call today, no matter how many times I tried refreshing, it was still plain black screen?! According to my teacher, a lot of her students have moved to Zoom for their lessons, I guess I will have to suggest that if this problem continues!! This is very annoying and time wasting for the whole class / everyone joining the call!
