What’s New
Version 2.1.0
Important Note:
1. Following the update to this version, when backup is enabled, the Synology Photos mobile app will rescan items to check if all files are backed up in the previous version. If any unbacked-up files are found, the mobile app will automatically trigger a backup. This process will not lead to file duplication.
What's New:
1. Supports setting up your deletion preference. You can choose to delete files from both your phone and Synology NAS at once or only from your Synology NAS.
Fixed Issues:
1. Fixed an issue where users might be signed out unexpectedly when using the Synology Photos mobile app.
2. Fixed an issue where backing up a large amount of files might cause an insufficient storage error.
Ratings and Reviews
Backup
I am not sure why Synology created another apps called DSphotoapp? What is different? It’s mean the backup function of Synology photo is not workable? Most of function is ok for Synology Photo except backup. Although I set to backup in background running, but it never activates. I need to open the backup page and don’t Lock Screen if I need to backup. It will lose security if I do this
Disappointing
I used synology for seven years. From DS Photo and moments, I only upload the photos directly from windows to NAS because the backup function was not reliable in DS file and DS Photo.
I keep observe for 7 years, I this week I try to use the Photos Mobile App to directly back up the camera roll from photo local to NAS. holly crapped, it never upload photo is background no matter switch app, Lock Screen, or even use it own dim screen function. It only uploaded about 10 photos after I put down my photo for hours.
When screen on, it upload about 1000per hour. Do I need to spend another 24 hours to upload the whole camera roll? I used the dim screen mode was not work
“Free up space” by date ?
Like free up only photos taken how many days/years ago or even make sure how many storage left in iPhone?
