During our recent school trip to Taiwan with my college friends, we relied heavily on the Uber app to get around, and it truly enhanced our experience.1. This flexibility made our trip much more enjoyable.2. Variety of Vehicle Options: I loved the choice of vehicles available. On several occasions, we opted for the higher-end options, and I felt so bougie riding in those fancy cars! It added a touch of luxury to our adventures and made for some great photo ops. I had such a 10/10 nap in a tesla too, AHAHA. 3. Affordable Pricing: Despite the luxury feel, the prices were surprisingly affordable, especially when split among friends. We were able to travel comfortably without going too broke, which was perfect for a student budget.4. Easy Navigation: The app provided clear directions and estimated arrival times, making it easy to plan our outings. We never had to worry about getting lost or waiting too long for a ride as they usually come within 10-15 minutes. In summary, Uber was a game-changer for our Taiwan trip. Been remotely hacked account, no Customer Service even TRY to help

I have to write this review to warn the people about the risk of using the Uber App I have been use Uber a long time, but already found the customer service is really bad in case if you face any issue inApp. This time is the worse, I found my account have been hacked and report to the Uber customer service, there are no one trying to tell me what to do or how will they try to help me, no reply at all in a week after the first reply to ask me to wait. I feel so disappointed and report to the police, the police help to clarify the condition and suggest me to clear the account, which I did. I am based in Hong Kong and the hacker was working in a place in Rio, which the location I never been there. And after that, they keep sending spam SMSs, so even I removed the Uber App, the dangerous still following me by the SMS spams. I was asking Uber to help me check the client account and warn that is a hacker, I was using email, Twitter, try to call, and I also provided the evidences. But Uber only ask me to wait forever without any reply. Since I report to Uber about this incidence until now already over 9 months, they still have no reply or any kind of follow up in any method. I advise everyone use this App should NOT be link your card to the account when not during the trip, and put the minimum information in the account, so that minimise the time for the hacker to use your cards and less information to let hackers take it.
Extremely Poor Customer Service and Unjustified Charges

I am writing this review to express my utmost disappointment with Uber's customer service and their unjustified charges. As a loyal user of the Uber app for several years, I have always relied on their service for convenient transportation. However, my recent experience has left me frustrated and unable to trust the company any longer. Firstly, the customer service provided by Uber has been extremely poor. I encountered an issue with the app that prevented me from calling a car, and despite numerous attempts to reach out for assistance, I received no response. To exacerbate matters, I was shocked to discover unauthorized charges on my account, which were completely unjustified. This experience has not only caused inconvenience but has also shattered my trust in the Uber platform. I expected transparency and fairness from a reputable company like Uber, but instead, I found myself being charged without any explanation or valid reason. As a consumer, I value reliability, transparency, and excellent customer service, none of which were demonstrated in my recent interactions with Uber. I sincerely hope Uber takes immediate action to rectify these issues and improve their customer service standards. I urge Uber to reevaluate its customer service practices and ensure that incidents like mine do not happen again. I cannot recommend Uber to others due to the poor customer service and the unjustified charges I experienced.

I want to complain about the driver for this order from Hurghada to Luxor. Before we set off, we agreed on a price of 3500 EGP — 3000 for his service and 500 for police checkpoint fees. But about an hour into the trip, at 8 a.m., we arrived at a checkpoint, and the driver suddenly demanded an extra 500 EGP, or even 4500 EGP, otherwise he would make us wait at the checkpoint until 5 a.m. before continuing. We refused to pay extra and agreed to wait until 5 a.m. to depart, which he accepted. However, at 11:30 p.m., he suddenly changed his mind, refused to go to Luxor, and insisted on taking us back to Hurghada. He asked us to cancel the Luxor order and pay him for the round trip from Hurghada to the checkpoint. Alternatively, he wanted us to cancel the Uber order and pay him 3500 EGP in cash to proceed to Luxor. We disagreed, and he locked us inside the car — we couldn’t open the doors or windows. Eventually, after an argument, we decided to go to the police station. With the help of the checkpoint police, he agreed that we wouldn’t have to pay anything, and he would take us back to our hotel in Hurghada. But after we arrived at the hotel, he marked the order as completed on Uber and charged me 1931 EGP! Because of his fault, we have already wasted tonight’s hotel in Luxor, worth 2200 EGP, and our plans for tomorrow are disrupted. I demand that the driver refund the 1931 EGP.
