Zuni Theatre Season 2024 ‘XATQ’ presents a brand-new project ZdX Theatre - Chinese Opera ABC. Zuni Xiqu App for you to familiarise with the four pillars of Xiqu (Chinese opera) (of singing, recitation, acting / body movement, and martial arts) is only one click away.
Imagine how traditional arts can be reinvented through technology. With the aid of AR technology, the app will demystify the languages of Xiqu, performers’ crafts, codifications and symbolisms in xiqu. You will be introduced to various types of roles in xiqu (Chinese opera): sheng (male role), dan (female role), jing (painted face), mo (old men), chou (Clown)
