- The ellipsis button in the media details screen’s navigation bar now lets you change media status.
- Improved the performance of the media details screen, particularly while scrolling.
- Improved the quality of the blur on the media details screen to be more pleasant.
- Posters and artworks are now displayed in higher resolution throughout the app.
- Media items will always show their full release date instead of just the year for older releases.
- Fixed: The media details screen on older devices would not correctly blur the bottom half of the screen.
- Fixed: Using the Quick Access widget to navigate to a specific library on iOS 18 would not work.

Media details have a gorgeous new design with a unique visual identity for each media. More details are also visible without scrolling like average ratings, and where to watch.

Local and online search are now unified into a single place. Whether you’re looking for something you’ve already saved or something brand new, the new Search makes it seamless.
▶ NEW TAB BAR
On iOS 26, navigation is simpler and more flexible. The new tab bar makes it easier to access your Collections and gives you quick access to Search from anywhere.
▶ OTHER IMPROVEMENTS
- Trailers and Where to Watch information are now visible from Magic Lookup directly without needing to open the app.
- Sequel now uses a white icon by default, updated for Liquid Glass.
- On iPad, press ⌘F to jump straight into Search.
- Fixed: The expanded Watch Next grid on iPhone would show 3 columns, leaving little space for titles.

this app is honestly everything i’ve ever needed. it’s neat looking and the free version goes a long way. i just want to ask, are there any plans to also include music albums? i would be so excited. thank you

Thank you for your review! I’m glad you’re enjoying Sequel! I’d like to bring more media types like music to Sequel in the future. For now though, I’m focused on creating a great experience for the existing types. Stay tuned though!
