This is the official Synod app and the best way to browse posts and news releases from the Synod and the ELCA, read messages from Bishop Kucharek, view daily bible readings for personal reflection, and follow social media communications from the ELCA via Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. We've also included the Revised Common Lectionary, for convenience and reflection on Sundays.

Our app also supports enhanced content for synod events, such as council and committee meetings, and the synod assembly. Accordingly, available app content will be subject to change over time.

• Daily Bible Readings have been upgraded for reliability and now also include verse markers, footnotes, and the ability to listen to narrative audio of each reading, with background audio enabled so you can keep listening even after switching to another app
• Improved iOS 14 support
• Restored functionality to YouTube video feeds (new API key)
• Added GDPR dialog; Improved language in the About dialog that clearly discloses our use of third-party APIs that help make our app possible
• Added more diverse icons into the navigation pane
• Added some behind-the-scenes, future-proofing fun (some API keys moved from app binary to remote server)
