Just fantastic!

Been using Evernote (basic version) for more than two years now. Tried apple notes and many digital journals. But in the end I always come back to Evernote. Today for the first time started thinking of upgrading, so I can have it on all devices (not only two) and to sink with my google calendar. Maybe the upgrade is not necessary. But anyway all I can do is recommend Evernote truly, honestly, as is the app that hugely impacted my life.

Feature creep and focus on wrong places

User since 2012. Evernote was amazing at first. Then it became terribly buggy, to the point of occasional data loss and corruption. Support was slow and ineffective despite being a paid user. Now it's in the phase of cramming everything they can imagine into was supposed to be a simple and reliable piece of software. Interface changes are frequent, from subtle (like a change of default display font) to huge (like making the startup page on iOS useless without asking me or offering to keep it as it was).
It's shoving AI down our throats and insisting we try it, integrates to-do lists (useless when you have hundreds of notes, there are much better dedicated and fast apps for that), calendar integration etc.
I live in fear of what they'll add next, and how buggy and slow it will be.
The only thing I care about - strong zero knowledge encryption - they never mention. So you have to wonder why?
They also limited the number of notes you can export at one time to just 50! Having almost 2000 notes, this makes it utterly useless to export for backup.
Nor does it offer any kind of backup. With history of data loss and corruption (which was impossible and arduous to debug from user side), I would very much like to do manual occasional backups as I did before they disabled all-notes export.
This, conveniently, makes it very difficult to leave and move to another app.

Terrible!!

Terrible app - It has a ton of bugs, very unreliable and unusable: It duplicates text in a note by duplicating every sentence and placing it after the original sentence, sometimes in the middle of it etc .. after spending 2h to clear it it does it again, and again, and again. It also deletes parts of notes, freezes, doesn't save changes, is the slowest app I ever saw, is slowers that my PC in 1991, the toolbar with icons that change place because of the dissapearing AI icon is just idiotic, cause it is super slow, so you have to type slowly and wait for icons in toolbar to settle to press them .. you have to spread a note in 10 notes so it doesnt freeze the app and so you dont have to wait a minute for the note to open ... and many many more irritating things that make it the worst app I have ever had on my otherwise super fast and very functional devices
