With its friendly approach and awesome updates, Duolingo’s long been one of our favorite apps for learning another language. Its secret: making the process genuinely fun. Engaging mini-games test your reading, writing, and speaking skills, and joining a club (where you can encourage and compete with others) adds a great social element. Bonus: all those languages and games are available for free!

I love it

I have been using duolingo for 4,5 languages .. the best course yet is Spanish one. I feel its structured better then some other courses possibly because spanish is more popular language . I love those TIPS you can read before every lesson and they teach you some grammar that is used in the lesson and it’s written very well and easy to understand . I wish there was more vocabulary per lesson , some “easy” nouns are being repeated a lot and I wish they would introduce more vocabulary per lesson . Also I don’t know if it’s a new feature but there are interactive stories you can read and then answer some questions during the reading and it’s awesome! And they are leveled so it matches your knowledge . Maybe it’s not a best language learning app but it’s free and they don’t bother you with adds a lot! So for me it is the best I have found .

It's okay

Solid learning app for basic knowledge but it has many small mistakes and teaches you wrong translations sometimes which is incredibly funny seriously but oh well you can't expect an app to be able to teach you something like a language correctly 100%. One big issue is aswell sometimes the app updates itself and basically deletes like a month of your progress and gets you back to some previous levels with new words you didn't even learn ever (which you should be able to do first in order to be able to complete the levels), but this happens anyways sometimes you get a word which didn't even show up yet, so yeah it's a bit buggy and not well structured in that sense but this last update or whatever really messed it up. Oh and too many add literally after every lesson you get an ad. Those are the negatives but all in all it's okay and worth it if you want a good healthy and fun daily habit that will reward you with something actually.
