Description

Signal is a messaging app with privacy at its core. It is free and easy to use, with strong end-to-end encryption that keeps your communication completely private.

• Send texts, voice messages, photos, videos, GIFs, and files for free. Signal uses your phone’s data connection, so you avoid SMS and MMS fees.

• Call your friends with crystal-clear encrypted voice and video calls. Group calls supported for up to 40 people.

• Stay connected with group chats up to 1,000 people. Control who can post and manage group members with admin permission settings.

• Share image, text, and video Stories that disappear after 24 hours. Privacy settings keep you in charge of exactly who can see each Story.

• Signal is built for your privacy. We know nothing about you or who you’re talking to. Our open source Signal Protocol means that we can’t read your messages or listen to your calls. Neither can anyone else. No back doors, no data collection, no compromises.

• Signal is independent and not for profit; a different kind of tech from a different kind of organization. As a 501c3 nonprofit we are supported by your donations, not by advertisers or investors.

What’s New

Version 7.9

• We told ourselves that we would never do this, that we wouldn't be like the other apps with their lazy release notes, but this update really does include "bug fixes and performance improvements."

Best for the privacy!

I’ve been using iOS and macOS apps. They work great. The most important thing for me is privacy, and Signal is the market leader among messaging applications. It is one of the essential privacy tools to use.

To Users:
If you like using Signal please consider donating money for its development and to keep it running. I donate because I know how important it is for my privacy.

To Signal Developers:
There are two things I would love to se:
1. Have disappearing messages turned on on all chats *by default* (users can always turn it off). In UX defaults matter!
2. This one is more advanced: Aliases via handle. I think this would be a great addition and maybe some users would be willing to move from Telegram to Signal because of it.

Good app

Application is good but needs more feautures and also there are some annoying bugs that needs to fix to run it smoothly on my iPhone 11 pro max. When I say bugs I mean that app is not so fluid and fast like Telegram or Whatsapp. Otherwise I would rather use this app because it’s more secure and uses end-to-end encryption on regular chat unlike Telegram. Keep the good work going guys!

Next whatsapp

Great app. Has both PC desktop and iPad apps versions which I was missing in other messengers (still
some hiccups with them which will soon be amended). And let’s not forget - truly takes care our privacy and does not share our data for profit
