Streams Win8 faster than competition; has odd upsale offerings

Overall, a great tool. Excellent for testing Win8 on a tablet. Somewhat slow, but faster than some better known competition; it's limitations of wifi and encoding speed of laptop and decoding speed of tablet; it's not the product's fault. I love the integration of multitouch when connecting to a Win8 machine.

I'm surprised by the upsale offer of $0.99 PER MONTH to get an onscreen gamepad.

It would also be great if XDisplay's (a sister product from the same company) virtual display was fixed on Win8, and then integrated into Splashtop 2. Now THAT would make for a good upsale, as long as it was not per month: an extended screen. As it is, four stars for an otherwise excellent product.

I recommend it if you need fast access to your machine from your tablet. If you need your tablet to be an extra display, use the same company's XDisplay on OS X or Win7.
