Hello, thanks for reaching out.
The app is free to try and uses the standard free trial system provided by iOS, which may require your credit card number. You won’t be charged until the trial expires and you can cancel anytime. Transactions are managed by Apple itself with top level security. I guess it is up to you to trust the system, I can so little about it.
