It can play all your movies, shows and music in most formats directly without conversion.
It allows file synchronization with Dropbox, GDrive, OneDrive, Box, iCloud Drive, iTunes, direct downloads and through Wi-Fi sharing as well as streaming from SMB, FTP, SFTP, NFS, UPnP/DLNA media servers and the web.
VLC offers support for advanced subtitles including full SSA compatibility, multi-track audio, playback speed control and rendering through Chromecast.

VLC is completely free and open source.

bug

I have about 200 videos in one of my folders, and they are not ordered correctly, even if their names are good. they should be ordered like for example:

PHP tutorial 1 - introduction
PHP tutorial 2 - starting
PHP tutorial 3 - whatever

but that is not the case. they are ordered completely insane, like, the first one is PHP tutorial 97, and from there it goes down to PHP tutorial 64, then it starts from 1 to 9, then from 23 to 38 and so on

The new infotainment doesnt work

I installed the update and the subtitles still won’t load or appear after they been selected

This is fixed in version 3.3.4 - please update!

Perfect

This is the only app I could find that doesnt make me pay $5 to have audio support and has subtitle support built in. Homescreen groups videos perfectly and you can continue watching where you stopped the last time which is really useful. Rating deserves to be much higher than it is. Huge thanks to the developer team.
