Description
Alipay is a leading open platform for payments and digital services in China.
Users with a Chinese ID and bank account can use Alipay to make payments online and in person at various merchants outside of China as they travel for leisure, business, or study.
Foreign visitors to China can connect their credit card to take advantage of Alipay’s widespread acceptance by tens of millions of merchants across the country. Alipay is not designed or intended for use by foreign users in their home country or anywhere outside of China.
With the users' permission this app can connect to Health [HealthKit] to enable users to participate in walkathons and make donations via the "sports" service. This feature is designed for use by Chinese users in China. It is not necessary to enable this feature to make payments.

This is not really international
After giving EU phone number for activation it is asked for if I would like to enter international mode. I chose yes and menu points changed to English but everyday still sends notifications in Chinese language :-/ (I do not understand what it wants)
For activation of pay function in China as a tourist it asks for my Mastercard data and also a picture about my passport. I do not really trust in AliPay if my sensitive data will be in safe hands until my bank says I can do that. But my doesn’t say anything. No answer from them after more than a one week. AliPay states in the app there are more than 400 partner banks in the world but doesn’t tell that my bank is on the list and has a partnership or not.
Not a tourist friendly solution I think.
After more development this could be a good tool for tourists but currently at some points it makes me uncertain.
Bad quality
Even in international version Chinese signs. Can’t even add my union card. This is why China always stays behind - bad quality!
